Why this is a voluntary statement

Legal requirements on web accessibility apply to:

• public administrations and equivalent bodies (Italian Law 4/2004, the «Stanca Law»);
• private entities offering services to the public with average turnover over the last three years above EUR 500 million (Law 4/2004, art. 3, paragraph 1-bis);
• economic operators under Legislative Decree 82/2022 (EU Directive 2019/882), which expressly excludes micro-enterprises providing services.

Our situation

Valle Esina S.p.A. is an industrial B2B company with an informational website about regenerated leather and fibreboard. It is not a public administration, does not run B2C e-commerce on this site, and is below the EUR 500 million turnover threshold. It is therefore not subject to mandatory digital accessibility obligations, nor to the formal accessibility statement required of public bodies. The measures described below are adopted voluntarily, for the benefit of all users.

Level achieved

Partial conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria. The site is continuously improved: some areas may not yet be fully compliant. We work to address gaps found in internal audits.

Measures adopted

• «Skip to main content» link for keyboard navigation.
• landmark to identify central content.
• Visible focus on links and interactive controls.
• ARIA labels on navigation menus and indication of the current page.
• Alternative text on informative images (where applicable).
• Embedded maps with a descriptive title attribute.
• Respect for system prefers-reduced-motion preferences.
• AccessiYes widget (accessibility menu: contrast, text size, keyboard navigation).

Non-accessible content

Some third-party content (Google Maps, occasional embeds) depends on the accessibility policies of those providers. PDF documents or legacy materials may not yet be optimised.

How this statement was prepared

This statement was prepared on 3 settembre 2026 based on a self-assessment by Valle Esina S.p.A., with automated checks and sample manual review during the 2026 refactoring. It does not replace the accessibility statement that applicable law requires of mandatory subjects.
